Several months back Rachel suggested that perhaps when I get a tree I put it in a communal area (ie, not my room). I thought this was a great idea. I was really all for the hallway, but was afraid it would be too narrow - or that the tree would be too wide!
So, Rachel helped me to fetch the tree, and when we brought it back to the flat Victoria came out & got all excited, and helped us set it up (in the hall after all!) and the three of us decorated it. This was an unexpected turn of events, and I was thrilled at how festive and jolly it made having a tree. Trees shouldn't be hoarded in ones bedrooms, as I did in years past. It is much better to share them!
